Blunsdon House Leisure Club

Our 9 hole par 3 golf course offers a great way to get into or to improve your golf game, our course is set in beautiful countryside with breathtaking views over the surrounding areas. It is kept in wonderful condition by our green keeper Darryl Smith who has been here at Blunsdon for 8 years.

Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or an absolute beginner, our course will provide you with an enjoyable golfing experience.

We believe we provide a relaxed, no pressure family friendly course where children are very welcome.

We can provide one to one, group, corporate and junior golf lessons with our resident golf professional, Marc McCracken.

Golf Coach Marc McCracken, having qualified through the USPGA system he began his career teaching in New York, he then moved to Hawaii and spent a year teaching members and guests at a prestigious resort.

Marc strongly believes in a relaxed approach to teaching and playing golf, lessons should be personal and individual, everyone is different, and not everyone can swing it like Ernie Els or Anika Sorenstam!

Marc believes golf should be accessible and affordable, we encourage everyone into the game, lessons are tailored to suit you and equipment can be provided free of charge. Coaching can be one to one, group, corporate and junior lessons available.

Our lessons are given on the course using “real golf balls” not controlled distance balls.  Hitting golf balls on turf rather that rubber mats makes a huge difference, we can provide video swing analysis to your lesson, it is a great way to accelerate your improvements and where possible we can view your swing over a coffee.

Marc is CRB checked, has a NSPCC child protection certificate, and is fully junior first aid qualified, junior golf lessons are given on Saturday mornings, where children gain a  full golfing experience by actually playing on the course, rather than being on a boring driving range.
